Facing the rising sun, Hector deliberated. The briefcase contained the promise of a solution for all those who suffered as a result of love – spurned love, loving too much, a lack of love, the death of love…..
François Lelord is no stranger to the subjects of Happiness or Love, but he certainly isn’t your typical Self-Help Guru. An acclaimed writer and psychiatrist, Lelord is the rather surprising author of the international best-selling novel-cum-self help book, Hector and the Search for Happiness. His latest book, Hector and the Secrets of Love, is a new fable filled with insights into that universal and all-consuming subject of Love.
François Lelord studied and practised psychiatry in Paris and was a consultant for companies interested in reducing stress among their employees. On a trip to Hong Kong, in which he questioned his personal and professional life, the Hector character popped into his mind. He wrote Hector and the Search for Happiness not knowing exactly what kind of book he was writing. The resulting fusion of fact and fiction has become a bestselling series.

Is that really love that he can sleep with a prostitute? Ridiculous Lelord! Really a shame!
